Barbie Bigelow CIO Jacobs Engineering As SVP and CIO, Barbie Bigelow leads JACOB’s information strategy, including collaboration, enterprise systems, technology and security. Before joining JACOBS, Bigelow led B Better Technology, a consultancy that helps clients leverage and manage risks related to information technology especially cybersecurity, digitization and data analytics. She was formerly the CIO for the Lockheed Martin electronic systems business area and then SVP/CIO at TASC. While at Lockheed, she led the formation of the first Cyber Incident Response Team and helped set up the first information sharing consortium across the aerospace and defense community. And at TASC, she led the standup of their CSOC and strategy for Cyber business. Bigelow started her career in information technology as a statistical researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. After completing her master’s degree, she joined IBM as a programmer/researcher and worked on early parsing and mark-up languages that are today the foundation of HTML. Bigelow earned her master’s degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee.
