AMAG is arguably part of the largest security company in the world with a track record of success and achievements, in every vertical, that is second to none. One will read on AMAG.com that, “Since 1971, AMAG has delivered best-in-class access control software and hardware, pioneering the magnetic stripe card reader in the mid-90s and growing into an enterprise-class security system provider.” What is your perspective Mark, on AMAG’s unique capabilities? In other words, why AMAG?

Route1 was founded and then funded through the Canadian public marketplace in the mid 2000s as a technology company focused on delivering a best-in-class secure remote access solution but with an architecture that did not create new data or network security risk vectors for an enterprise when they adopted it. The technology is MobiKEY and it is from a “how it works perspective” the opposite of a VPN based solution.  Since its commercial launch in 2008, it also has been an attractive technology for many enterprises including the US government because of the approach Route1 takes to multi-factor authentication; MobiKEY uses a smart-card based approach.
