James Lui

Vice President of Product Management Ericom Software

As Ericom’s Vice President of Product Management and one of the leading experts in secure browsing and browser isolation, James oversees the delivery and roadmap of Ericom’s secure remote browsing, remote access, application virtualization, and cloud-based DaaS  offerings.    He has guided countless customers in healthcare, government, finance, education and retail in architecting and deploying Ericom’s range of enterprise-grade connectivity and security products.

Steve Chan

Senior Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance Proofpoint

Steve is a Senior Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance. He works with a cross functional group of product marketing, product management, and sales team members positioning Proofpoint solutions to strategic accounts and partners in the context of data loss, compliance, and threat protection. Steve also provides domain knowledge around email archiving and governance products, specifically supporting strategic sales with competitive insight and market context in the areas of e-discovery, regulatory compliance, supervision, and information governance for email and other forms of unstructured data. Steve advises government and commercial organizations such as the SEC and FFIEC, presenting at key conferences and industry roundtables around the country. Prior to Proofpoint, Steve co-founded and held executive roles at big data, e-discovery, and information archive and governance firms. He also served as a primary investigator on two government funded research projects for 3D medical visualization, and his work has been published in over twenty periodicals and books. Steve received his undergraduate degrees in economics, chemistry, and genetics from the University of California at Davis and his master’s degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from Harvard University.

Sami Akbay

Founder and Executive Vice President Striim

Sami Akbay is a founder of Striim. Prior to Striim, he served as the CEO of Altibase, Inc. – an in-memory RDBMS company with customers in financial services, utilities, and telecommunications. Sami was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for GoldenGate Software from 2004 through its acquisition by Oracle. Prior to GoldenGate, he served in senior product marketing and business development roles at Embarcadero and AltoWeb. He spent his earlier career in technical and consulting roles working at Rabobank Nederlands, Hearst New Media, American Stock Exchange, MediaMetrix, OneMain.com (Earthlink), and ALK Associates. He is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Tom Mulvehill

Program Director IBM Security

Tom Mulvehill is the Program Director for IBM’s Endpoint Security strategy and product management. He is an established security professional with over thirty years of combined product management, product marketing and development experience. Tom has worked with a wide range of customers to define and deliver new products for both start-up and large companies. For the past ten years, Tom has focused on application and mobile security — helping organizations develop secure web-based and mobile applications.

Nanda Santhana

Michelangelo Sidagni

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer NopSec

Michelangelo Sidagni serves as Chief Technology Officer leading technical development, security research and operations for NopSec. Prior to NopSec, Michelangelo was the Director of IT Security Services at Ciphertechs and served as a lead internal security consultant at Blue Cross Blue Shield advising on HIPAA security compliance and privacy initiatives. Michelangelo holds numerous professional certifications in information security including CISSP, CISA, and CIA and is a frequent speaker at information security events around the country. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pavia – Italy.

Justin Fier

Justin Fier is the Director for Cyber Intelligence and Analytics at Darktrace, based in Washington D.C. With over 10 years of experience in cyber defense, Fier has supported various elements in the US intelligence community, holding mission-critical security roles with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and Abraxas. Fier is a highly-skilled technical officer, and a specialist in cyber operations across both offensive and defensive arenas. 

Gene Bursley

Security Analyst, Incident Response Trustwave SpiderLabs

Gene Bursley is an Incident Response Analyst at Trustwave SpiderLabs –  the advanced security team focused on penetration testing, incident response, and application security.  Assisting customers in preparing for and responding to breaches across the globe. In his time with Trustwave SpiderLabs Gene has investigated a range of cases including compromise of e-commerce systems, theft of military data, insurance fraud and financial fraud. Based in Chicago, Gene is originally from Grand Rapids Michigan.    Gene has contributed to the development of the next generation of security practitioners by volunteering at the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition in Michigan for the past 5 years.  Gene hold a Bachelors of Science in Computer Networking Technology and Network Security, and is currently completing a Masters of Science in Information Assurance.  In his spare time Gene builds drones, breaks IoT devices, and investigates autonomous automobile technologies.

Paul Martini

CEO, Co-Founder & Chief Architect iboss

Paul Martini is the CEO, co-founder and chief architect of iboss, where he pioneered the award-winning iboss Distributed Gateway Platform that protects networks against malware, advanced threats, and data loss direct-to-cloud, with an innovative node-based architecture. Prior to founding iboss, Paul was with an electrical engineering firm where he developed proprietary security solutions for clients such as Phogenix, the U.S. Navy, and Hewlett Packard, leading the design and implementation efforts for HP’s e-tester used in their TIJ print heads. He was also a key contributor at Copper Mountain Networks and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), both of which launched successful IPOs. Paul holds a computer science degree from the University of California, San Diego and has had his work published in prestigious scientific journals, including, the Journal of Foundations in Computer Science, and the Journal of Analytical Biochemistry. As a recognized security expert, he has been featured in a wide range of publications, such as USA Today, Forbes, and CSO magazine. Paul has been recognized for his leadership and innovation, receiving the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award and being named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2014.
