Kevin Sullivan
Sr. Product Manager Engineering Cisco Systems, Inc.
Kevin is a 20 year veteran of Cisco and is currently a Senior Product Manager for Cisco in the Security Technology Group. He is currently leading efforts in Machine Learning and applying our NG Security technology to the broader Router and Switch portfolio of Cisco as part of the Lancope acquisition. This product line is the Stealthwatch NaaS / NaaE (Network as a Sensor and Network and an Enforcer) Portfolio.
Previously Kevin was a Leader in Sales as a Sr. Systems Engineering Manager in the Security Consulting Systems Engineering (CSE) organization. Kevin also lead various Advanced Technology Teams at Cisco including: Secure Data Center, and the Bring Your Own Device to Work (BYOD) and is currently a lead on Cisco’s recently released Encrypted Traffic Analytics which was just reviewed on CNBC http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/cisco-introduces-encrypted-traffic-analytics-to-detect-malwre.html He is also a sponsors Cisco Validate Design team.
In addition Kevin was the Senior Product Manager for the first Integrated Series Router (ISR) Product line. The ISR family was Cisco’s first product to reach over $1B in Sales in less than 12 months. Kevin led the Security Services team for the ISR family and was responsible for Cisco first Hardware AES (Advance Encryption Service) Adapter and the first IPS/IDS Module for a Router.
Kevin stays active in the IT industry and has been a guest speaker and panel member for several industry conferences including SANS, InfoSec, and Cisco University.
Kevin has received: (2) Team work across Cisco Awards, (3) SEM of the Year Awards, and (3) Product Excellence Awards from Cisco’s Chief Technology Office (CTO).
Kevin brings a deep customer experience background to the Security technology space as having served in roles in both sales engineering and product management. Prior to joining Cisco, Kevin worked for Attachmate where held a variety of positions in Management.
Prior to Attachmate Kevin worked for CIGNA Corporations in the IT Division and Network Operation Center, and at Harris Government Defense Systems in IT Security.
Kevin holds a Dual Bachelor of Sciences Degrees from Rutgers University in Computer Science and Master in Business Administration from Drexel University, and is a member of the AMA American Management Association.
