Booker believes that Security is like a good coffee. Everyone wants it and once it’s found, we somehow find a way to say that it’s too expensive. Booker started his career in Information Security immediately after high school. It began as a Systems Analyst at Dell, supporting the US Army Reserve Command. In this role he helped active duty and reservist with accessing necessary systems to support the WarFighter. He then went on to the Defense Information Systems Agency and the 7th Signal Command as an Enterprise Systems Engineer and Information Assurance Engineer. In these roles Booker worked with various agencies and teams to ensure security control compliance, tool efficacy, security strategy alignment, and broader security education and best practice awareness. After nearly 7 years with the DoD, Booker went on to manage a team of architects and engineers at PwC. For more than 3 years he led teams to evaluate, test, and implement security technologies for more than 300,000 staff. He also traveled within the US, Vietnam, and Hong Kong to lead security technology implementations, wider security program alignment projects, security operations trainings, and achieve Partner and Senior Partner leadership sponsorships. Booker now works at ReliaQuest as a Solutions Architect helping companies benchmark their security programs, evaluate security tools, develop long term security roadmaps, and partner with ReliaQuest Managed Security Services called GreyMatter.
