Stephanie Watt is the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Cybersecurity State Coordinator for Alabama. She began her career in Information Technology in 1997 with the United States Air Force. After serving 6 years, Ms. Watt separated from the military and continued to support the Department of Defense as a Secure Network Administrator and an Information Systems Security Officer contractor before joining government service in 2005. As a Department of Defense civilian, she built a reputation as a Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Cybersecurity subject matter expert pioneering successful strategies in Cybersecurity, Risk Management and Continuous Service Improvement Lean Six Sigma Black Belt initiatives. In 2022, Stephanie joined CISA as the Cybersecurity State Coordinator for Alabama. As a Cybersecurity State Coordinator, she is responsible for advising on developing and maintaining secure and resilient infrastructure, serving as a federal cybersecurity risk advisor, and facilitating the sharing of cyberthreat information between federal and nonfederal entities.
