Michelle Linders Wagner is an experienced risk management executive with 25+ years’ experience helping Fortune 500 companies design, implement, and optimize global programs to improve their compliance and risk management posture. With deep expertise in cyber, compliance, and audit, Michelle has built high performing teams to rapidly assess and identify practical solutions that are fit for purpose in the dynamic and fast-moving risk landscape.
Even from a young age, Michelle demonstrated interest in tech when she helped her dad solder bugs onto circuit boards. In college, she paired her drive for helping people with her love of solving problems in her work as tech support agent. At Deloitte, Michelle expanded her impact by serving Fortune 500 companies in their quest to reduce their cyber and compliance risk exposure. Then, she turned those client-facing skills inward and reshaped Deloitte’s global quality and risk management function. As a senior executive at Costco, she led and matured the global governance, risk, and compliance department with responsibility for an “alphabet soup” of requirements (PCI, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PMO, NIST, BC/DR, PMO). She is currently at SAP, setting strategy and executing high-priority initiatives to streamline and mature compliance activities with a customer-focused lens on a portfolio of over 120 global audits and assessments. Highly motivated and always striving for excellence, Michelle is passionate about leading teams in their pursuit of solving complex risk problems. Michelle recognizes that complicated problems require diverse perspectives, and has volunteered on several non-profit boards and business resource groups that support the advancement of diverse professionals. She is currently the treasurer of the Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) Western Washington Affiliate.
