Passionate about open-source software, cloud-native ecosystems, and Kubernetes, Patrick is a Strategic Sales Engineer with over two decades of experience in cloud architecture, solutions engineering, and technology leadership. Prior to Chainguard, he served as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Kubecost (2023–2025), where he specialized in helping Kubernetes users realize cost transparency and optimization. His career also includes key positions at StormForge, where he helped customers leverage AI/ML to optimize their Kubernetes costs and performance, and Red Hat, where he worked as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect and Sales Account Executive, providing enterprise clients with cloud and open-source solutions. Since joining Chainguard, Patrick has been applying his experience to help customers address their software supply chain security challenges.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating in 2001. He is also a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and, previously a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), reflecting his deep technical proficiency in cloud-native and open-source technologies.
