
Taz Olson joined Boeing in late 2017 as the Director of Application Support/Operations, Portfolio Management, and Architecture for the Business & Supply Chain Systems (BSCS) organization. In this role, he was responsible for the operational support of more than 550 applications across HR, Finance, and Supply Chain functions, while also driving portfolio management and segment architecture strategies across the organization.
In February 2020, Taz was promoted to the role of Director of Network Infrastructure Services and Data Centers, where he oversaw Boeing’s global computer network, data centers, and perimeters. This infrastructure included 3 data centers, multiple perimeters, and over 19,000 devices supporting over 150,000 users.
Before Boeing, he served as the Director of Network Engineering and Network Operations at The Coca-Cola Company, leading the design, engineering, and support of Coca-Cola’s global network. This infrastructure spanned six Global Communication Centers, over 3,000 network devices, and more than 30,000 users across 100 countries and 300 sites, supporting PBXs, LANs, WLANs, and WAN connectivity across multiple business units and partners.
Earlier in his career, Taz was a senior consultant for Information and Knowledge Management within the U.S. Department of Defense, supporting U.S. Special Operations Command and U.S. Central Command. In his last role, he focused on enhancing information-sharing capabilities between coalition forces and the Afghan National Army in Afghanistan.
A retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel, Taz is a former Battalion Commander and helicopter pilot. He served in the Gulf War, participated in combat operations in Somalia, and was deployed to the Middle East in support of operations from 2002 to 2004.
He holds an MBA from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University.
He and his wife, Xiomara, reside in Hollywood, FL.
