Nicole serves as the Programs Director for Austin Women in Technology where she plans and moderates monthly events to create a supportive and empowering environment for the 500+ members. She is a visionary leader with over 15 years of experience in Project, Program and Portfolio Management, with a specialty in iterative Software Development methods. Starting her career in anthropology and environmental science, she found her passion for tech by using GIS to answer archaeological hypotheses in her Master’s research. Nicole has found success in industries including software, hardware, consulting, and the public sector. She excels at making order out of chaos – coordinating teams that collaborate effectively and enjoyably. She believes in strengths-based leadership, self-organizing teams, and the importance of understanding each person’s unique qualities. Outside of work, she also finds joy playing with her dog, Latin dancing and spending time with her family.
