Dr. Jamaine Mungo’s professional experience spans more than 25 years of experience implementing next-generation cyber initiatives, delivering advanced technology concepts, and researching solutions to mitigate cyber threats. He has led high-level cybersecurity programs for the Department of Defense, as well as Federal, State agencies, and major corporations.
A published author, Dr. Mungo has written “Anatomy of Cyber Attacks: Exploitation of the Weakest Link” and co-authored “Cyber Shield: A Comprehensive Guide to Enterprise Cybersecurity,” alongside contributing to several research journals. He is passionate about mentoring and sharing his technical knowledge, strongly believing in the power of giving back to help others achieve their goals and aspirations.
Dr. Mungo has taught cybersecurity courses at Cornell University, Purdue University, and North Carolina A&T State University, where he has inspired and empowered students to pursue their career ambitions through consistent personal and professional growth.
Deeply committed to community service, Dr. Mungo serves as the President of the Kappa Iota Lambda Alumni Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was honored with the Leader of the Year Award for his dedication to community development and engagement. He leads various regional programs supporting youth development, college preparedness, career development, and community upliftment.
Dr. Mungo holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from Virginia State University, a Master’s degree in Information Security from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in Cybersecurity from Capella University.
