Ashok Kumar is a cybersecurity engineering executive with 25+ years of experience in the software industry, specializing in enterprise SaaS and first party cybersecurity products and services.

Ashok is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience at various Fortune 10 companies. He has held several senior leadership positions, most notably leading all engineering and technical operations at AT&T Cybersecurity. In this role, he directed all first-party engineering initiatives and was instrumental in positioning AT&T Cybersecurity as a recognized leader in the SIEM and Managed Threat Detection and Response (MTDR) market.

In addition to AT&T Cybersecurity, Ashok has held engineering and operations leadership roles at Trustwave and Verizon Connect and various startups. Additionally, he is a Founding Trustee & Board Member at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of Austin  and past president of  Austin Tamizh Sangam.

Ashok holds an MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Madras. He’s happily married and enjoys spending time with his 2 children, 2 dogs and a budgie bird. Ashok resides in Austin,TX.
