John Knies is the Chief Information Security Officer for CenturyLink. Since 2008, he has led the information security program that includes information security governance, policy and standards; architecture and engineering; compliance management; cyber incident response; vulnerability management; forensics and e-Discovery services; and risk assessments.
He is actively engaged in cybersecurity initiatives and partnership programs supporting global communications infrastructure, including those focused on threats to operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning systems.
John has more than 30 years of communications industry experience, and he has dedicated more than 20 years of his career to CenturyLink.
He holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certifications.
