Barbara is a respected consultant in the areas of cybersecurity, cloud architecture and blockchain. Barbara is currently the most highly certified woman in cybersecurity. Her certifications include GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP-ISSEP-ISSMP, HCISPP, CSSLP, CISM, DoDD 8140, 8570 IAM_IAT I-II-III, IASAE I-II, CND-SP, CCSK, PCII, ITIL, CBE, MDQM, and PMP.
She has provided cybersecurity and technical consulting for the Department of Defense, the US Navy, the US Air Force, the US Army, NATO, NASA, multiple federal agencies, and numerous states. She represented the United States in three International Organization for Standardization (ISO) technical working groups.
She is the director of Wyoming’s Government Blockchain Association, a member of the Wyoming Blockchain Taskforce, the Colorado Blockchain Coalition, an advisor for multiple blockchain organizations, and selected as a board member for the University of Wyoming Cybersecurity Education and Research Center. She mentors women all over the world in technology through GROWL, Global Women in Blockchain, and the Western States Women’s Collective.
Barbara is a principal for Nerthus Consulting, president of Ildsjel Sea LLC, and an advisor for multiple companies including venture capital funded organizations.
Barbara has a BS in Computer Science, BS in Accounting, and an MBA.
