Alan Greenberg is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the City of Atlanta. In this role, Alan is responsible for developing information security policy and strategy while executing a vision that promises to establish a high level of protection while enabling the city to conduct safe and secure operations.
With over thirty years of progressive experience, Alan has held senior leadership positions as the Security Lead for DoD Companies, Energy Company, A Major University, and as a Senior Technical Director.
Alan is a retired Army Major with multiple assignments including the National Security Agency, Tactical Signal Assignments and the VII Corps Tactical Command Post Communications Officer during Desert Storm.
Alan has a BA in Political Science/Pre-Law from Western Illinois University and an MSA in Administration from Central Michigan University.
