Eric is a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Kubernetes, opensource development, container security, and secure supply chain best practices. Eric joined Chainguard as a Senior Specialist Solutions Engineer from Red Hat, where he previously served as a container security architect supporting customers’ global efforts to implement top-of-class security solutions and vulnerability management programs.

Eric now serves as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Chainguard where he works with customers in modernizing their containerization efforts and simplifying container security practices. Coming from first-hand experience with the painful process of vulnerability scanning, analysis, and triage; Eric is helping Chainguard customers adopt a new way of addressing the issue by re-thinking the way that open source development can be adopted within the organization: “starting left, not shifting left”. 

He is most passionate about breaking away from the “doom cycle” of endless CVE analysis and triage that the scanning tools of the past have introduced, and showing customers that they can immediately achieve secure-by-default foundations using Chainguard images.
