With over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and Security, Brent Dillon oversees all aspects of cybersecurity, including risk management, incident response, and compliance efforts across 150 locations nationwide. He excels at solving complex problems, mentoring teams, and staying ahead of ever-evolving threats to keep businesses secure and thriving.
As the head of Cybersecurity at Sportsman’s Warehouse, Brent is responsible for safeguarding $1.4 billion in annual revenue. His journey into cybersecurity began on the networking side of technology, where he spent two years as a Cisco instructor teaching CCNA, CCNP, and PIX Firewall courses. Eventually, he “stumbled” into the exciting and ever-changing world of cybersecurity—a field that has become both his passion and expertise.
Brent earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Utah State University, well before cybersecurity was a “thing” . His first real IT job was with Convergys, where he provisioned T1 lines for AT&T. These early experiences laid the foundation for his career in building resilient security strategies and leading collaborative, high-performing teams.
Outside of work, Brent is a proud husband, father of four adult children, and grandfather to two (soon to be three) grandchildren. He is an avid reader who enjoys fantasy, sci-fi, and thrillers, as well as a history enthusiast. Brent is also passionate about the outdoors, college football and European soccer, and playing any and all games with his family.
