
Deborah has 18 years of experience driving cybersecurity strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management for global enterprises. Before joining the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Deborah was the Director of Cyber Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at Vroom, where she was instrumental in transforming GRC programs, strengthening cyber resilience, and bridging the gap between technical teams and executive leadership.
Before joining Vroom, Deborah served as Sr. Manager of Cyber Risk Management at Marriott International, where she led the maturity of the cyber risk management program. Prior to Marriott, Deborah worked for Emergent BioSolutions, executing the information security strategy, GRC, and security operations programs. Before Marriott, Deborah worked for Lockheed Martin, leading infrastructure security and systems engineering and supporting security architecture and cyber incident engagements.
Deborah holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the Catholic University of America (CUA) and a Master of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). She is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).
