MG Scott is responsible coaching the company leadership in strategic planning, identifying emerging trends for cooperation across the Business Ecosystem while maintaining relationships with the global Defense and Intelligence Communities. General Scott brings value to @RISK in two ways – his leadership in national defense intelligence, plans, and operations as well as extensive experience leading large and complex organizations.
As a US Special Operations Command representative to NSA, a Task Force senior leader fighting Al Qaeda high value targets during the “Global War on Terror”, and the Tampa Director for Computer Science Corporation, Gen. Scott has pursued new tactics and tech tools to address growing and evolving asymmetric threats in cyberspace.
Gen. Scott’s leadership experience extends from aircraft commander for a 7-man “Combat Talon” aircraft to direction of the joint, international, and interagency activities of 70,000 US Special Operations Forces. His command experience includes Deputy Commanding General, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina and combat units at squadron, group, and wing levels.
Immediately after retiring from the military in 2009, Gen. Scott became Director of the Tampa Office, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) where he worked with IBM and other industry partners to exploit advances in machine learning for the warfighter. This effort led to a long term relationship with the founders of @RISK leadership as advisor, board member, and leadership consultant through a series of companies, joint ventures, and cyber initiatives.
Gen. Scott now resides in Tampa, Florida, where he serves on the board of 8 non-profits supporting veteran issues, preserving WWII vessels, promoting high speed ferry transit options, and stimulating development of the innovation ecosystem within Tampa Bay. He is the owner of two small retail businesses, the Director for Liberty Defense Systems, and he advises clients on leadership, teamwork, strategy, and organization as President of Chinthe Consulting, Inc.
