Adnan is a driven executive and hands-on leader with strong security and technology knowledge and business acumen. He has 15+ years of experience building and maintaining security, compliance, risk, privacy and technology programs. With a passion for security, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, he has deep experience in security strategy, risk management, cybersecurity, architecture, product security, governance, business continuity and disaster recovery across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments. Adnan is adept in thinking strategically as well as executing tactically to provide value to stakeholders. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to build, inspire and motivate high-impact teams. He has a proven record of building programs with teams across the organization, such as product, engineering, IT, sales, support, legal, finance, marketing and HR. He has several years of experience working with customers and executive management at large (Fortune 500), mid-size and small companies. He has proven ability to understandably present technical concepts to any audience. He is experienced in working with people from various cultures across the globe. He has broad experience across a range of industries: technology, security, marketing, healthcare, life sciences, retail, energy, utilities, automotive, financial services, and higher education.

For over six years, Adnan has served on the board of directors of ISACA (San Francisco and then Silicon Valley). He is an active advisor of SecureWorld and a researcher for the Cloud Security Alliance. Prior to Vera, Adnan has served in various leadership roles at MuleSoft, Safeway, Blue Cross Blue Shield & Deloitte. Adnan has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Information Technology. He has spoken at various industry conferences & events. He recently spoke on a panel on “Future Threatscape – Ransomware & Beyond” at SecureWorld Bay Area 2018.
