Joe has more than 20 years of experience in IT, Cyber, Information Security and Compliance, and has developed and lead security and information technology programs across a wide range of industries from financial to travel and eCommerce.  He has held leadership and executive positions at organizations such as Hertz, YP, CredAbility, Equifax, and SunTrust and responsible for annual budgets of $200 million dollars. 

In his most recent role as a Global Chief Information Security Officer, Joe was responsible for the security strategy, compliance and operations at Hertz, a global travel and transportation company.  He ensured the execution of security and compliance services to more than 10,000 locations, in 150 countries, and millions of consumers and businesses.

With deep experience in security and information technology program creation and execution, Joe focuses on the development of strategic security plans for his clients to proactively build and respond to cyber-attacks, incidents, and increase the maturity of their security programs while aligning to overall business objectives and risk tolerance. Regarded as a mentor and well respected thought leader in the field, Joe is routinely sought after for guidance in security strategy/methodology, program roadmap, cloud security, security operations, security engineering, incident response, compliance, risk management, and privacy. Currently, he focuses on the development and advancement of security programs as a whole with the mindset of helping every security leader he comes into contact with being more successful. 

As a trusted advisor to CISOs & security leadership, Joe drives security programs to be efficient while aligning to business directives and issues.  Joe is an experienced public and conference speaker, and holds information security certifications, including CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
