Garin Pace Head of Cyber Liability Underwriting Excellence, Cyber – U.S. and Canada AIG
Garin Pace is Head of Underwriting Excellence – Cyber for the U.S. and Canada at AIG. In this role, Garin is responsible for shaping and driving the underwriting strategy for all cyber-related products, ensuring all underwriting tools and processes are consistently leveraged across the portfolio. He is also responsible for driving the innovation of products, services, and processes that will best support the needs of all clients and brokers in the region as the cybersecurity risk landscape continues to evolve.
Garin joined AIG in 2005 as a Professional Liability underwriter and has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the Professional Liability division during his tenure. Most recently, Garin was Regional Underwriting Manager for Professional Liability, responsible for the division’s Major Account Practice in New York. Garin holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.
Paul Roberts Founder & Editor in Chief The Security Ledger
Paul Roberts is the founder and Editor in Chief of The Security Ledger (securityledger.com), an independent security news website that explores the intersection of cyber security and the Internet of Things.
Paul is a seasoned reporter, editor and industry analyst with more than a decade of experience covering the information technology security space. He is a contributing writer to the Christian Science Monitor Passcode and his writing about cyber security has appeared in publications including MIT Technology Review, The Economist Intelligence Unit, CSO Magazine, IT World, Infoworld and ZDNet. He has appeared on prominent news outlets to discuss matters related to cyber security, including Al Jazeera America, NPR’s Marketplace Tech Report and The Oprah Show.
Prior to launching Security Ledger, Paul was a Senior Analyst in The 451 Group’s Enterprise Security Practice. He has held positions as a senior writer and editor at noted industry publications including Threatpost.com, Infoworld.com, Ziff Davis’s eWeek.com and The IDG News Service.
Paul lives outside Boston with his wife and three daughters. His hobbies include running, swimming and local politics.

Chris has nearly 20 years of industry experience in architecting, implementing and managing security solutions for corporate, higher education, and federal, environments. Currently Chris is working with Intel Security’s Enterprise customers in the Northeast. His experience started with internetworking, and in 2000 decided to concentrate on security, as he found the challenge intriguing, and saw there was a need for security professionals in our industry. Chris joined Intel Security in 2014 because he felt strongly about Intel Security’s vision of a connected architecture being the future of where security is headed.
Marty Ward Vice President of Product Marketing Sophos
Marty Ward serves as vice president of product marketing for Sophos where he is responsible for worldwide go-to-market strategy, planning and marketing efforts for the Enduser and Sophos Cloud business units. He has more than 25 years of software industry experience in marketing, product management, engineering, sales and customer support. Prior to joining Sophos, Marty has had executive marketing and product management roles at McAfee, Symantec, Asempra, Veritas Software, and Sun Microsystems. Marty started his career as an engineer at IBM before moving into engineering management. Marty holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University.
Mike Pittenger Vice President Black Duck Software
Black Duck Software Vice President Mike Pittenger provides strategic leadership for the company’s security solutions, including product direction and strategic alliances. Mike’s extensive security industry experience and expertise help Black Duck deliver solutions that mitigate security risks associated with the use open source software. Mike’s 30-year technology and management career includes 15 years in security. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager of @stake’s product division. After @stake’s acquisition by Symantec, Mike led the spin-out of his team to form Veracode. He later served as Vice President of the product and training division of Cigital. Mike has consulted independently, helping security companies identify, define and prioritize the benefits their technologies deliver; structure solutions appropriately and bring those offerings to market. Mike holds an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Bentley College.
Wade Williamson is the Director of Product Marketing at Vectra Networks. He has extensive industry experience in intrusion prevention, malware analysis, and secure mobility, and has spoken at a variety of industry conferences including the keynote address at the EICAR malware conference and led the Malware Researcher Peer Discussion at RSA. Prior to joining Vectra, he was Sr. Security Analyst at Palo Alto Networks where he led the monthly Threat Review Series and authored the Modern Malware Review. He has also led the product management team at AirMagnet where he led the development of security and network analysis tools targeted to Wi-Fi networks. He has been a steady and active researcher of new threats and techniques used to compromise enterprise networks and end-users.
