Peter Beardmore VP, Global Strategic Alliances and Mobile Business Development, Kaspersky Lab As VP, Global Strategic Alliances and Mobile Business Development, Peter Beardmore is responsible for maintaining and developing global partnerships and serving as a liaison for all major brands with whom the company collaborates such as Microsoft, HP, Google, Apple, Cisco, RSA and others. Peter brings more than 15 years of marketing experience. Prior to this role, Peter was Senior Director, Product Marketing, Kaspersky Lab, where he was responsible for all aspects of product marketing for both the B2B and B2C business units. Prior to joining Kaspersky in 2008, he was Senior Product Marketing Manager for Government Business at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. Peter began his career in the US Army, serving in capacities including Tank Platoon Leader and Communications Company Executive Officer. He later held a variety of sales, marketing, and business development positions at Cabletron Systems, Enterasys Networks, and Colubris Net­works.  

Ned Moran Cyber Intelligence Researcher, FireEye Ned Moran is a seasoned cyber threat intelligence analyst with over 15 years of experience working with the intelligence, defense, law enforcement, and homeland security communities. Mr. Moran currently serves as a Manager on Fireeye’s Threat Intelligence Team. In this capacity, Mr. Moran is responsible for identifying new techniques, tactics, and procedures used by APT actors. Further, he also works to implement detection techniques and methodologies that block these new TTPs. Mr. Moran is also a volunteer staff member with the Shadowserver Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to gathering and sharing intelligence about malicious activity online. At Shadowserver, Mr. Moran aides in the design and implementation of a solution designed to classify and categorize malicious artifacts.

Naheed Bleecker  Senior Manager IT Security, CUNA Mutual Group Naheed Bleecker has been responsible for the security awareness program at CUNA Mutual Group, impacting over 4000 employees at multiple locations.  CUNA Mutual Group offers financial services to over 98% of the credit union marketplace, including cyber security insurance.  The company is a Champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) and realizes the importance of securing the most critical endpoint in the organization:  the human.  Ms. Bleecker has coordinated year-long initiatives such as testing, newsletters, and contests.  These efforts culminate in the annual October capstone events in recognition of NCSAM.   She attributes the success of the program to the collaboration with other departments such as Communications, Privacy and Records Management. Ms. Bleecker graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in English and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Continuity, Security and Risk Management from Boston University.  Ms. Bleecker has over 20 years of experience in information technology, and has worked in a variety of industries.  Her certifications include CISA, PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.  

Kevin McMenimen COO, LP Magazine CIO Ministry of Ideas, CEO IAB-Innovative Analytics & Biometrics Leading several organizations, Kevin McMenimen, is the Chief Operating Officer of LP Magazine and currently driving the expansion of the magazine with the launch of the Europe edition of the magazine and EU mobile news apps, and is driving advancements in the LPM digital outputs, creating new technology products from the magazine by way of mini e-magazines, interactive newsletters, as well as digital awareness and mobile news applications. Kevin is also the CIO, Chief “Idea” Officer for the Ministry of Ideas and CEO of IAB, and with both organizations is leading development of cutting edge data visualization technology and ground-breaking development in voice biometrics creating secure access and secure payment solutions for online and mobile retail transactions. The former president & CEO of Enabl-u Technologies, Kevin created the APIS data management system and Learn it Solutions interactive training technologies, both widely utilized by top global retailers, and has designed several industry-wide data sharing projects including RILA-InfoShare, ABA Bank Capture v1 & 2, CargoNet and LERPnet2.0 in the US, Canada’s LP DataShare, and the National Business Crime Solution in the UK. Prior to Enabl-u, Kevin managed investigations nationally for Bloomingdales and worldwide for Tiffany & Co. He started his career working for the FBI in Washington, DC. Kevin is co-founder and current board member of the Loss Prevention Foundation, directing and contributing to the development of the LP industry certification programs and he is currently driving the international expansion of the LPF with testing expanding into 175 countries and new LPF chapters launching in India and the UK, among several regions targeted for 2014.

David Damato Managing Director, Mandiant, a FireEye Company David Damato is a business and technology leader with a broad technology background, specializing in incident response and computer forensics, vulnerability assessments, security program development, security operations, and network and security architecture. During his career, Mr. Damato has worked with the world’s largest companies and governments to solve their information security challenges. He has extensive business development and client support experience and has been responsible for establishing domestic and international consulting offices. Mr. Damato continues to share his experiences and lessons learned at industry conferences and in major media appearances.

Shivank Dua Director of Engineering, NIKSUN With over 10 years of experience in Cyber Security, Compliance Strategy and Product Development, Shivank Dua is a noteworthy industry leader. Mr. Dua began building his expertise after graduating with High Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science. Shortly after completing his schooling, Mr. Dua began providing Cyber Security and Compliance guidance to Fortune 100 customers and later, became a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Shivank began his career with NIKSUN in 2003 as a Software Engineer, where he stood out among others in the field for creating NIKSUN’s FlowAggregator – an advanced flow traffic collector used for powerful and reliable network planning, forensics and reporting. With his applied experience on the forefront of increasingly complex cyber security climates, and an insatiable ambition to design and optimize security solutions, Mr. Dua quickly earned his current position as the Director of Engineering for NIKSUN’s Cyber Security product line.

Dave Larson Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Product, Corero

Dave Larson, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Product is responsible for  directing the Corero technology strategy as the company continues to invest in its next phase of growth; providing next generation DDoS attack and cyber threat defense solutions for the Service Provider and Hosting Provider segments. Larson brings over 20 years of experience in the network security, data communication,  and data center infrastructure industries. Most recently, Larson served as Chief Technology Officer for HP Networking and Vice President of the HP Networking Advanced Technology Group.  In this role he was responsible for creating the long-term technology vision and strategy for HP Networking across a variety of product divisions and geographies.  Larson was instrumental in establishing HP’s leadership in SDN including driving the creation of the OpenDaylight open-source SDN controller initiative as one of the founding executive sponsors of that consortium along with technology leaders include Cisco, IBM, NEC, Citrix and the Linux Foundation.

 

Jesse Kornblum Security Engineer, Facebook Jesse Kornblum is a Security Engineer for Facebook. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, his research focuses on computer forensics and computer security. He has helped pioneer the field of memory analysis and authored a number of computer forensics tools. These tools include the Hashdeep suite of programs and the ssdeep system for fuzzy hashing similar files. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Kornblum previously served as a computer crime investigator for the Air Force and with the Department of Justice.  

Jon Boyens Senior Advisor for Information Security, Information Technology Laboratory Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Jon Boyens is a Senior Advisor for Information Security in the Information Technology Laboratory, within the Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He leads NIST’s Information and Communications Technology Supply Chain Risk Management Program and works on various policy and technical projects. Boyens helps develop and coordinate the Department’s cybersecurity policy among the Department’s bureaus. He represents the Department in the Administration’s interagency cybersecurity policy process. Boyens has worked on various White House-led initiatives, including, most recently, the Cybersecurity Executive Order and related work on Cybersecurity Incentives, Government Acquisition Policy and the Cybersecurity Framework.

As a recognized technology generalist, with extensive experience working for several startups and public companies, Paul delivers data driven solutions for today’s modern security threats and avoids wasting time on those that don’t exist. Prior to joining Pinterest, Paul was an early employee at ngmoco:), a breakthrough mobile gaming company, acquired for $300m in October 2010. He has been invited to participate on multiple customer panels, including OpenDNS and Endgame, Inc.
