Principal, The Chertoff Group Mr. White, based in San Francisco, leads the global advisory services business for the Chertoff Group. In this capacity, Mr. White works with a wide range of clients that are seeking a new strategic direction or meet their growth objectives in government and critical infrastructure markets. He also leads the San Francisco office, and primarily focuses on cyber security and innovative technology; and works with large and small technology companies and equity investors that are looking to bring innovate products and services to Government customers. Mr. White joined the Chertoff Group from Lockheed Martin, where he was a Senior Manager in the Electronics System business. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. White was a senior official at the Department of Homeland Security, where he served in numerous capacities. As a Senior Counselor to the Deputy Secretary, Brian was substantively involved in all policy and operational issues at the Department, including the development and execution of the Comprehensive National Cyber Initiative. Mr. White also served as Chief of Staff of the Policy Office, as well as served as the Director of Maritime, Trade, and Cargo Security.Mr. White came to government from the private sector, where he was an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton. Mr. White holds an MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University; and a B.S. from Syracuse University where he was a Division 1 student-athlete. Mr. White currently serves as a Senior Associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS); a practice associate at the Institute of National Security and Counterterrorism (INSCT) at Syracuse University; a regular guest lecturer at the Naval Postgraduate School, and is frequent speaker on cyber security issues. Mr. White was also a German Marshall Fund Manfred Woerner Scholar.
