In Derek’s current role he assists commercial, federal, state and local municipalities on cyber security governance, risk, industrial controls, threat & vulnerability protection, and business continuity. Derek has over two decades of IT and InfoSec management experience as a change agent developing strategic direction and vision within various industries including; Food & Beverage Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Technology Consulting Services and Wholesale Distribution. Derek was the security architect who implemented The Coca-Cola Company’s inaugural global security operations center. He served 3.5 years in US Naval submarine force (SSBN 658 Mariano G. Vallejo).
