Bill Bradley is SVP, Cyber Engineering and Technology Services, CenturyLink. He has more than 33 years of experience in cyber security and information technology with roles ranging from software developer to CTO and CIO. He leads a global workforce to ensure the company is protected and its cyber technology services customers receive support from a trusted partner with deep technical experience.
During his tenure as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer, Bradley’s leadership was fundamental in CenturyTel’s acquisition of Embarq in 2009, creating CenturyLink, successfully integrating hundreds of applications, converting millions of customers to a single consumer billing system and tripling the scale of the IT organization. Building on this experience, he also contributed to CenturyLink’s acquisition of Qwest in 2011, doubling the scale of the IT organization to support millions of customers and more than 40,000 employees. Bradley’s focus on creating a “one company” mindset, following these acquisitions, helped set the foundation for the technological and cultural transformation at CenturyLink.
Bradley has a passion for innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit, illustrated by his efforts to establish CenturyTel as an Internet Service Provider in 1997. Bradley is also recognized externally for his ability to develop collaborative relationships between industry and academic organizations. He provides his expertise to academic advisory boards at several universities, including Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University, promoting the growth of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). He also serves on the board of cyber security company RiskSense.
