John Knies CISO CenturyLink
John Knies is the Chief Information Security Officer for CenturyLink. Since 2008, he has led the Information Security program that includes information security governance, policy and standards; architecture and engineering; compliance management; cyber incident response; vulnerability management; forensics and e-Discovery services; and risk assessments.
John is also engaged with many cybersecurity initiatives and partnership programs focused on threats to operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning systems supporting the telecommunications infrastructure.
John has been with CenturyLink for 19 years and has 29 years experience in information security, network and system engineering, and operations. He holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certifications.
