J.P. Wilson CEO GCCG
J.P. Wilson is the CEO of the Global Compliance Consultancy Group, Inc. (“GCCG”), a boutique cybersecurity and regulatory compliance/supervisory consultancy in New York and London. Based on J.P.’s background and experience being at the SEC, as well as senior in-house Legal and Compliance Depts. at major Wall St. firms, plus his senior staff having worked in the IT Dept. at Nomura Securities International, as the former CISO at MetLife, AIG’s former CIO and a former in-house Legal Officer at EY, GCCG is extremely well-positioned to provide “spot on” practical, business-oriented advice, guidance and general support to financial firms on both sides of the Atlantic.
Indeed, while relatively small in size, because he is a former Staff Attorney in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as being nearly 30 years as senior in-house Legal and Compliance Depts. at major U.S. brokerage and the U.S. subsidiary of a major UK bank, GCCG is quite informed when taking into account business needs as it helps establish effective and efficient holistic solutions on an enterprise basis.
Through its extensive network of law firms, Big 4 consultants, encryption software vendor clients and others, GCCG has found that its comprehensive approach is particularly appreciated and welcomed at the Board and C-suite level, as well as at by the department heads affected by the “perfect storm” that is cybersecurity, allowing it to enable clients to meet any applicable regulatory requirements, corporate governance industry “best practices” expectations and shareholder/investor demands to minimize reputational harm- all in accordance with their internal risk tolerance levels to avoid hindering business operations/ flow by NOT unnecessarily burdening the generation of revenue/profitability.
