Dave Garrison is a veteran in data and network security, information systems management, and technical sales leadership, with a career spanning over 30 years. He has a diverse background, starting with Texas Instruments where he worked with a wide range of computing systems, including speech recognition systems (a very early form of AI), and witnessed the rise of supercomputers as a high-performance computing expert at Sun Microsystems.

As his interests shifted towards the burgeoning “dot-com” world, Dave spent a few years with companies like BroadVision and US Bancorp focused on Ecommerce and website development. This experience instilled a strong appreciation for the value of incorporating security into the design, which then led him to Symantec in 2003. After a 20+ year security journey, helping customers achieve positive outcomes around network and data security and governance, Dave is excited to have recently joined Concentric AI. Upon first look, he instantly realized Concentric’s approach to simplifying discovery, classification, and governance of important business information as truly unique and “game changing”.

His academic credentials include a B.S. in Business Management & Communications from Concordia University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and an A.S. in Electronics Engineering. With a blend of technical acumen and business insight, Dave is a compelling speaker on topics such as AI data security.
