As the CSA, Mr. Hatcher is the liaison between Federal services and State, Local, territorial and Tribal Governments, Critical Infrastructure and Private Industry and is the focal point for communications, coordination, and outreach. He promotes cyber preparedness and resiliency, incident response, risk mitigation and situational awareness and manages major cyber engagements, championing cyber resilience to public and private sector partners throughout Region IV.
Prior to becoming a CSA, Mr. Hatcher held positions as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for the Defense Logistics Agency, as well as serving as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and System Administrator for the same agency where he provided Cybersecurity and Administrative support to the agency in establishing and maintaining Certification and Accreditation under Risk Management Framework model, Vulnerability analysis, and Risk Assessments. Additionally, Mr. Hatcher has held several IT related positions in the federal government to include the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of the Navy, and the National Science Center.
Mr. Hatcher has over 16 years of experience in Cybersecurity and Information Technology spanning the federal government and DoD communities. He currently holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, the EC Council Certifications for Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (C|HFI), and the CompTIA Security+ Certification. Mr. Hatcher is a graduate of Western Governor’s University where he obtained both a Master of Science Degree in Information Security and Assurance, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology with Security.
