Brian Kenyon is Vice President and CTO of Security Connected at McAfee, where he is responsible for the vision and go-to-market strategy and execution of the company’s Security Connected platform. Prior to this role, Brian was senior director of solution architecture where he led the engineering organization focused on developing comprehensive security and compliance. His team was responsible for designing solutions as well as addressing crisis situations in support of some of the world’s largest IT infrastructures.
In 2001 Brian joined Foundstone, which McAfee acquired in 2004. There he was the chief architect of Foundstone’s security operations center and played an integral role in designing and developing the company’s cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, including the award-winning and highly acclaimed FS1000. Brian was also responsible for the development and expansion of the company’s entire product service line, a key strategic growth area for the company.
Brian serves as a trusted advisor to industry and government organizations on key cybersecurity issues and best practices to guard against these evolving threats. He is lead author for Security Sage’s Guide to Hardening the Network Infrastructure, a co-author of Security Battleground: An Executive Field Manual, and contributing author of network architecture for Special Ops: Network and Host Security for Microsoft, Oracle, and UNIX.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Loyola Marymount University.
