intelIigentIDIntelligent ID is an Endpoint Monitoring and Protection (EMaP) framework which utilizes a lightweight software agent running on the endpoint that communicates with a software-based web / database server. By employing the Intelligent ID administrative console to setup a series of rules for an individual, department, or enterprise, insightful and targeted endpoint monitoring can be achieved within an organization. These rules provide a framework for system administrator to configure a customized monitoring and protection solution, focusing on Intelligent ID’s four primary solution areas: Identity Monitoring, Data Loss Protection and Auditing, Productivity Analysis, and Infrastructure Protection.

Intelligent ID was designed to provide detailed monitoring of endpoint activity without breaking day-to-day business function. Many security solutions employ the ‘gate approach’ to secure a system, dictating whether specific actions are allowed or blocking them completely. This method, however, often causes breaks in workflow and efficiency, ultimately costing the organization time and money. Intelligent ID’s approach to endpoint protection avoids this break in efficiency by either allowing actions and data transmission to take place or preventing it, but always alerting the administrators in real-time when a scenario is potentially harmful. By providing supervisors with detailed real-time information and alerts including screen captures, keyboard input, file access, and more, immediate decisions can be made as to whether the action taking place is a security threat and allowing for the proper remediation to occur quickly.
