Michael Pickett has served in the Federal Government for a total of over Twenty-seven years, seventeen years of which has been in the U.S. Secret Service. He is currently assigned to the New England Electronic Crimes task Force, which is responsible for working with Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies to investigate violations of Federal and State law in regards to bank fraud, credit card fraud, identity theft and electronic crimes, as well as provide computer forensics support to investigations. From 2013 to June of 2019, he was assigned to the Technical Security Division in Washington DC. Michael joined the Secret Service’s Electronic Crime Special Agent, Network Intrusion Responder Program in 2005 and the Computer Forensics Program in 2007.
Michael Pickett is a graduate of the Criminal Investigator Training Program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and the Special Agent Training Program at the James J Rowley Training Center (JJRTC). Michael has also received training with the Digital Receiver Technology, Wireless Tracking course; the Basic Network Intrusion Investigation course; the Department of Defense Introduction to Networks and Computer Hardware course; the Enterprise Security Vulnerability course; the Advanced Network Intrusion Investigation course; Basic Computer Evidence Recovery Training; Call Analysis Training, the Harris Wireless Products Group Kingfish CDMA and GSM Tracking course, Advanced Computer Evidence Recovery Training (ACERT) and the Basic and Advanced Cell Phone Forensics Courses at the USSS Cell Phone Forensic Facility at the University of Tulsa, the Access Data Boot Camp training course, the Wet Stone Technologies Livewire Investigator Training Course, the Guidance Software EnCase Computer Forensics II course, the Purdue Cyber Forensics Program Macintosh Forensics course, the Guidance Software EnCase Field Intelligence Model Live Forensics Investigation course, the BK Forensics Mobile Phone Seizures training course, and the Access Data Macintosh Forensics course. Michael has also received the following training from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office: First Responder’s Digital Evidence Seizure and Cellular Telephone Mobile Device training course, Advanced Seizure in Network Environments training course, Identity Theft and Online Fraud training course, and Mobile Phone Certification.
