Geoff Gates has spent a majority of his career in the defense industry, starting with the revolution to integrate commercially available computing infrastructures into real time, mission critical applications as well as the deployment of safety and security critical systems. These systems included defense weapons systems, machinery control systems and freight rail control. In addition, Geoff has taught computer networking architecture, statistics and cybersecurity as an adjunct professor. He is a frequent speaker for a variety of cybersecurity topics in the community.
Most recently Geoff Gates has been charged with leading a security team for the corporate communications infrastructure within Lockheed Martin, encompassing the perimeter, cloud and factory floor. Geoff achieved a Bachelors Degree from Widener University, a Masters Degree from Drexel University, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration from James Madison University with a concentration in Information Security.
