Judy Smith has been a prosecutor for over 14 years. She currently serves as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Colorado’s U.S. Attorney’s office. She is Chief of the Cybercrime and National Security Section where she supervises and prosecutes cyber, national security, and child exploitation cases. She has also served as the Chief of the office’s Special Prosecutions Section. Ms. Smith received her bachelor and law degrees from the University of Colorado. Ms. Smith served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Wade Brorby of the 10th Circuit United States Court of Appeals. Ms. Smith’s legal experience includes working at the law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and serving as a Deputy District Attorney in the Denver District Attorney’s Office. She obtained her Master of Laws from Columbia Law School while teaching legal research, writing, and appellate advocacy there.
