Brian Kenyon Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer Blue Coat Systems
Brian Kenyon is Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Blue Coat Systems, where he is responsible for aligning a cohesive message and strategy across Blue Coat’s portfolio and Go-To-Market initiatives. Additionally, Brian and his team are focused on the assessment of the market landscape and translating those observations into value for Blue Coat’s customers around the world. In 2001 Brian started his career in security by joining Foundstone, which McAfee acquired in 2004. There he was the chief architect of Foundstone’s security operations center and played an integral role in designing and developing the company’s cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, including the award-winning and highly acclaimed FS1000. Brian also served in a variety of roles within McAfee including Chief Technology Officer, and most recently, Chief Technical Strategist.
Brian serves as a trusted advisor to industry and government organizations on key cybersecurity issues and best practices to guard against evolving threats. He is, a co-author of Security Battleground: An Executive Field Manual, lead author for Security Sage’s Guide to Hardening the Network Infrastructure, and contributing author of network architecture for Special Ops: Network and Host Security for Microsoft, Oracle, and UNIX. Brian is a renowned speaker having lectured at numerous industry conferences including, Gartner, IDC, Computer Security Institute (CSI), RSA, Networld+Interop, and Blackhat. He has also been featured on CNBC, Fox News and numerous print publications.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola Marymount University.
